Limo or Pizza?

One of the most frequent questions we get at Century West Limousines is “How many people can fit in a limo?”.  This is a rather loaded question.  It’s akin to asking your local pizza parlor “How many slices are in your pizza”?  Without knowing the SIZE of said pizza, the number of slices is hardly relevant.  If they offer a 16 inch pizza, whether it’s cut into 10 slices or 52, it’s the same amount of food.  Same with a limousine; the number of passengers depends on which limo you are asking about, and the size and configuration of that limo.

So, when you call a limousine service, the best course of action is to simply tell them “I need a limo for “X number of people”, followed by the simple question “What are my options?”.  This will get the ball rolling, and the representative on the phone would then be able to go over the various vehicle types, configurations and capacities.

They may ask if you prefer a traditional ‘sedan-based’ limousine, such as the Chrysler 300 or Lincoln Town Car, a cross-over limousine, such as the Lincoln MKT, an SUV limousine, such as the Cadillac Escalade (shown above), or the Hummer H2.  Depending on the fleet of the service, you may also be offered a van-based limo like the Mercedes Luxury Coach, or a limousine based on a bus platform, like the Freightliner Limo bus (shown below).

Some of the choices offer the ability to stand up, some offer toilets, all offer luxury seating, bar, fiber optic lighting and high end digital entertainment systems.  Your choice at this point is based on your personal preferences, and/or the recommendations of the service provider.

Hopefully using these tips, and taking the time to do a little research on the fleet(s) of the services you are considering, you will be able to come to the most informed decision possible, and snag the perfect limo for your event.  And maybe on the way you can ask the chauffeur to pull over for some pizza.  Whether that’s a slice or a whole pie… that’s up to you!  But you may want to offer your driver some, as that’s just rude to fill a car with the smell of pizza and keep it all to yourself!
