‘Tis The Season

It’s the most wonderful time of the year- Indeed it is!!!!!!!!!  Lots of hustle and bustle in the malls, children in a hurry to take pictures with Santa and many are traveling afar to be with their loved ones.   Many times people get so busy preparing for the holidays they forget to take a moment to enjoy one another in a fun relaxed setting.   Whatever you decide consider getting a limo to make your night or day one to remember.

Christmas Lights

Every year in many different cities the amazing candy cane lane is created with an abundance of lights and creative murals that express the joy of this time of year…It gets crowded and parking could be overwhelming and time consuming…. Don’t stress out- leave this kinda stuff to your well trained driver.

Christmas Lights 1

Here are a few locations to consider.

Westlake Village Inn, Westlake Village

Thousands of sparkling twinkle lights bring holiday cheer to this charming European-style inn, set on seventeen acres in Westlake Village. Christmas trees and poinsettias are scattered throughout the property, creating a winter wonderland. Take advantage of one of their winter overnight specials and catch live entertainment every Friday and Saturday evening in Bogie’s Night Club & Bar. Or, just stop in for dinner at Mediterraneo.

Beverly Hills Christmas 2

Rodeo Drive, Beverly Hills

Twinkle lights and red ribbons adorn the trees, lavish holiday displays decorate the shop windows, poinsettias are planted in the center divider, and the infamous Pretty Woman hotel, The Regent Beverly Wilshire, is bejeweled with lights and interior decorations- a sight you don’t want to miss. Make a day of it and stop in for Afternoon Tea at the Regent. The hotel has a Holiday Desk available to answer questions concerning their festivities. Plan ahead for next year’s Nutcracker Tea, as reservations are sold out one year in advance- anyone who loves tea would love this…

Candy Cane Lane, Woodland Hills

Lubao Avenue and Oxnard Street

818-347-4737. Make sure to come during the week, as weekends are very busy. Most amazing, elaborate displays you’ve ever seen.

Candy Cane Lane, El Segundo

The eastern block of Acacia Avenue is announced by a Candy Cane Lane sign, marking a tradition of more than 60 years. Houses are alight with trains, reindeer, giant characters, and music, plus frequent appearances by Santa Claus in a covered sleigh at the end of the cul-de-sac. The lights go on at 6:00 pm; Santa usually sits down in his sleigh at 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm.

This year, Candy Cane Lane’s program will begin on December 14, 2013. The street will be closed to cars, but parking is available throughout the neighborhood. The last night of the public display is December 23, keeping the street more private for the actual holiday.
